Now let us offer our respectful obeisances unto all the Vaisnava Devotees of the Lord who have dedicated their lives to the propagation of the Holy Names of The Lord, and can fulfill the desires of everyone ... just like Desire Trees.

How are we to recognize true friendship? Judging the tree by its fruit; and assuming friends are those who help in ways which cause advancement, please let me share with you now this note from one whom, I submit, brings new, yet eternal definition to the term; "Friend." Krsna and Gopis

Yesterday was indeed a wonderful day! Went to the temple for a little much needed mercy. Varshana Maharaja was revealing the intimate pastimes of Sri-Sri Radha and Krsna.

As the story goes...Krsna was in the forest waiting for Sri Radhe in a special place They liked to meet. Sri Radha was taking a long time to get there as She would hide whenever someone else was nearby as to not spoil Her immaculate reputation of purity and chastity. By the influence of Yogamaya and Her Gopi friends, She would come out of hiding and continue on Her way.

While waiting for Her, Krsna started to chant Her name in separation and Sri Radhanani and Krsna

began to feel Her love for Him. By the time Srimati Radharani got there, Krsna had changed color from His usual sapphire effulgence to a most amazing golden hue. Sri Radharani did not recognize Him at first but heard His beautiful voice chanting Her name. She looked closely and saw that this personality was indeed Her beloved Krsna.

Not wanting to disturb His ecstatic mood, She waited patiently with Her head slightly cocked to one side, mildly smiling. Sri Krsna opened His eyes and asked,"Is that you , Krsna?". Sri Govinda had so fully immersed Himself in the mood of Radharani that He thought He was Radha waiting for Krsna and was confused to see Radha standing before Him.....

Does this ecstatic manifestation sound familiar? Sri Radha was quite delighted to see an early glimpse of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu........

Vrnadavana Das lead a wonderful kirtan in a very "Vrndhavana" style. During arotika, there were numerous offerings that the devotees could make to Sri Radhe.....prayers could be written and taped to helium filled balloons, then released in the altar. Flowers, incense and candles were available for offering to Srimati Radharani and a poster board for the devotees to write their names and prayers on along with little stickers of hearts and stars for decorating the names and prayers. Abhisheka for Their Lordships was also going on.

Mangalananda and Jamini sang after the Narasimha prayers and there was a very nice feast.

Kalindi and I have started cooking the evening offering again. Jambhuvana and Carolyn have joined us so we have a nice little "Cooking for Krsna" party every Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 PM till 6:30 PM.

Glad to hear you're feeding the hummingbirds. Though it's late in the season, you may still get a few. Our first visitor is always a male and he comes on or very close to Lord Narasimhadeva's appearance day.
